Meet the Founder & Lead Planner

Amber Lee is an experienced wedding planner, coordinator, and officiant who is dedicated to creating seamless, stress-free weddings for couples, making them feel seen, valued, and excited about the wedding planning journey.

Her career in the events industry began back in 2015, planning games for the California Storm Women’s Soccer Team. She later went on to plan the 2016 National Summit Meeting in Las Vegas for the Women’s Premier Soccer League. As her love for event coordinating grew during that time, coupled with both her passion for serving others and her skills in the administrative field, her desire for independence, autonomy, and an avenue for a higher purpose lead her to pursue entrepreneurship in the events industry.

In 2017, she took the leap of faith and—with Dave Ramsey’s guidance on using your talents to do work you love (a.k.a. your “sweet spot”) to create meaningful results—poured her skills of organization, structured planning, and attention to detail into her own event planning business called Everyday Events, where she thoughtfully and meticulously planned retirement parties, baby showers, birthdays, weddings, and other special events.

As a brand new business owner exploring her passions, she then started offering wait staffing services for weddings — and that’s when all the stars aligned with her business. She quickly fell in love with working weddings and knew that’s what she wanted to continue doing.

The palpable excitement wedding days bring, where everyone’s happy and enjoying great food, music, and dancing in a room full of love... that’s what drew her in and fueled the new direction in her business.

That same year, she became ordained and began officiating weddings, providing both pre-written and custom ceremonies that authentically embodied each love story. Fast forward to 2020, Amber rebranded to Once Upon a Wedding, moved from California to Texas, and transitioned her services to focus solely on weddings, offering comprehensive wedding planning and coordinating services.

To this day, Amber is dedicated to providing each couple with personalized planning, transparent communication, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
